Kia Ray Concept – Pictures

By admin On February 16th, 2010

The Kia Ray concept is a sneak peak into a future envisaged by the Korean car company. A plug-in hybrid vehicle that draws power from a 115kW 1.4-litre gasoline direct injection (GDI) engine combined with a 78kW electric motor, the Kia Ray concept is designed to be ultra green, from its design to its propulsion systems and construction method.

The 4-door, 4-seat Ray concept is a compact sedan based on the Forte platform. It’s the fifth vehicle to come from Kia Design Center America in Irvine, California, over the last year (previous: Soul, Forte, Forte Koup and Sorento). The Ray concept uses lightweight materials throughout (many which are recycled) to aid in the car’s efficiency, along with solar cells embedded into the roof-top glass panel that power the climate control system. The roof also features glazing materials said to “dramatically” reduce heat in an effort to keep the interior cool. Here are some cool pictures of Kia Ray.

By admin On December 9th, 2008

There is no out of the world knowledge when we talk about used auto parts. Everyone out here reading this blog at least know about it. But still for the sake of new visitors who are completely new to auto domain, let me reiterate about it.

Used auto or car parts are car parts that have been utilized for some purpose before. They might have been used to effect repairs on other car parts, come new with the car or been removed as part of a general overhaul, but the point is that these used car parts have been used in some capacity before.

This used status usually results in a decline in the price of an auto part, but at the same time what many people are finding is that a decline in quality is not always a given. In simple words, not all the used auto parts are low in quality but certainly low in cost.

Earlier, people needed to go to the yard physically to find out good auto parts from the pile of used ones. But now they can go online in order to find the same aftermarket parts with better options to find. There are many websites online that can help you in this search, allowing you to find the particular used auto parts that you are looking for through an online search. The searching is made so simple and effective that you can choose the year of make, vehicle company and make & the actual part for example – you can right away search for 2005, Audi S5 and used tires. Something similar you have in mind while you search for an auto part right? The whole process is made easier and a lot more cost effective.

These searches online give you wider option of searching the huge database of used car or auto parts. But simple such websites saves lot of our valuable time and energy. Life has been made just simple.

BMW Z4M Coupe 2008 Review and Pictures

By admin On October 7th, 2008

The 2008 BMW Z4 M is a 2-door, 2-passenger sports car, or you can say a convertible sports car, is available in two trims, the Coupe and the Roadster.

Both trims, Coupe and Roadster are equipped with a standard 3.2-liter, I6, 330-horsepower engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. That’s pretty impressive for me.

The 2008 Z4 M is actually a carryover from 2007 with  6-speed manual transmission with overdrive being standard.

The estimated market price is around USD 48000. This is one unique sports car which never fails to amaze me. Have a look at the pictures.

Whoever had a look at new Ferrari California in real, said “Ferrari California looks absolutely stunning”. My curiocity increased to take a sneak peak of this new Ferrari baby and here I could bring you exclusive photos of Ferrari California.

Ferrari California

Just have a look at some of the non-technical features:

  • A brand-new model complementing and similar in size to the racier F430 with more flexibility in packaging
  • Can be ordered in a 2+2 configuration, or more storage space for weekend outings
  • Large air intake on the hood, the side gills just aft of the front wheels.
  • Has a true retractable hardtop; that means when the top is down, the rear deck is completely flat – it’s like what the Mercedes-Benz SL has.
  • It’s a 4.3-liter direct-injected flat-crank V-8 engine that produces 460 bhp.
  • Even more important is the car’s use of Ferrari’s first dual-clutch gearbox with seven forward gears and not six like other Ferraris.
  • As per claim by Ferrari, the Ferrari California car will be able to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 4 seconds.

Review of Ford Fusion 2008 – Solid Midsize Sedan

By admin On May 31st, 2008

What you would need in your midsize car? Comfortable ride, nice looks, capable handling and good value, isn’t it? The 2008 Ford Fusion is a terrific choice among midsize sedans and should be given attention to.

Fusion Ford 2008

The Fusion is available with a choice of V6 and four-cylinder engines. The four-cylinder comes with a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission. The V6 comes with a six-speed automatic, a feature associated with top-end luxury cars. Both engines provide adequate power and fuel economy though they are outperformed by the engines offered by several competitors.

Fusion’s ride quality is as good as any car in the class, compared to the Toyota Camry. Available all-wheel drive and a new sport package make fine handling even better.

The cabin is comfortable and well designed with controls that are intuitive and easy to operate. The center dash is not that attractive [at least it's not for me] however, and the interior looks classier in the lighter colors but ofcourse your choice matter here when it comes down to interior colors.

The Fusion gives a distinctive and attractive appearance because of the crisp lines, big headlights and bold, chrome grille.

New features and options in Fusion 2008

  • An optional Sport Appearance Package comes with a firmer suspension and sporty interior and exterior styling cues.
  • Antilock brakes and a tire-pressure monitor are now standard, while rear obstacle detection becomes an option.
  • Ford’s Sync communications and entertainment system is offered for the first time, and the available navigation system adds voice activation.

Must Have Car Accessories For Your Car

By admin On May 15th, 2008

Got a new car, your dream car! Enjoy the never forgettable experience then!! The fresh smell, nice car interior and the flawless ride are some of the things that any new car owner always enjoy. However, sometimes there are some important accessories that were not included with the sale when you buy a new car. These are four “must have” accessories to keep your car interior clean and you should not miss them out, neither any of the new car owner.

Car Accessories

Floor mats: This is something that you should always look out first when you are buying a new car. Without floor mats, you can bet that the interior will be soiled very soon. You will not want to damage the carpeting of your new car as it will cost you a bomb to replace damaged car carpeting. So, it is better to have your floor mat in place after you buy your new car. Save yourself some trouble and money!

Car cover: A car cover is essential to protect your car’s finish. Things like indoor air pollution, dust, solar rays, moisture, wind, bird poop can damage exposed vehicles. Therefore, whether you are keeping you car outside or inside your garage, you will need to buy a car cover to protect your vehicle’s finish.

Cargo liners: The car’s trunk area is subject to dirt, mud and dust. Therefore, many automakers include cargo liners as standard equipment when you buy a car or as an expensive add-on accessory after sale for buyers. For me, this is one of the most important accessories that you must have, so make sure you get this one ready before you drive your new car out on the road.

Dust shield: If you want to protect your windshield and hood, a dust shield is a must for your car. Usually, no automaker offers one as standard equipment. Therefore, you will need to buy it as an add-on after buying your new car.

So these are four car accessories that you must have when you buy a new car. When you add on each of the accessory together when you buy a car, you will be able to pay lesser for each of them. So, it is wiser to shop for them together with your new car, so that you can have everything ready, as well as saving yourself money and time to get them again in the future.

The 2007 Suzuki SX4: America’s most affordable standard wheel drive

By admin On May 12th, 2008

Looking for an affordable car with good gas mileage? Who isn’t, right? Well are you looking for a car that resembles the off spring of a MINI and a Subaru? (That narrows the field down quite a bit) If you’re still with me then you’re the perfect candidate to read this Suzuki SX4 review.

The 2007 Suzuki SX4 is “America’s most affordable standard wheel drive” according to Automedia. “The SX4 was also one of five econocar finalists for Ward’s Auto World magazine’s Interior of the Year award.”

Made to be a contender for vehicles with the likes of the Ford Ecosport, Chevrolet HHR, VW CrossPolo, and the Honda Element, the Suzuki SX4 has surely a lot of things to offer. Production of this vehicle just started last year and it has been created as a mini sport utility vehicle. It is a hatchback and has four engine choices – the 1.5 liter DOHC I4, the 1.6 liter DOHC I4, the 2.0 liter DOHC I4, and the 1.9 liter turbo diesel I4 engine. And giving this vehicle an edge in with its competition is that it has been designed by Italdesign, the famous and tested designer of vehicles.

The power of the 2007 Suzuki SX4 can be considered as quite something for a new entrant. In fact, its engine can even produce up to 143 horsepower plus some 136 pound feet of torque. Compared to some of its competition, the 2007 Suzuki SX4 even performs well in this aspect. And as per its fuel efficiency, take note that this vehicle can perform up to 25 mpg in the city and 30 for the highway. It can even transport both people and cargo conveniently. After all it has some 22 cubic feet of space. But you do need to keep the rear seats folded to be able to accomplish this.

Those who have tried out the Suzuki SX4 claim that this vehicle is an easy one to handle. It does not need that much attention. Just the usual clean up, maintenance, and repair, and you are on your way to an event-free drive to your destination. Replacement auto parts also come easy to find and at cheap prices at that. Sure enough, the 2007 Suzuki SX4 is going to be a big win for the company. Thinking about it, it would be surprising if this automobile does not hit auto metrics. Remember, it was developed by Suzuki and Fiat.

The three main reasons to buy a SX4 are:

  1. Performance: With 24mpg city driving and 30mpg on the highway, this car will save you more in more ways than just the price tag. Not that anyone really needs to but you could get from 0 to 60 in just about 11 seconds. Be sure that’s not a police car next to you at the traffic light.
  2. Personal Space: Unless you’re six foot tall there is more than enough in the front and the “spacious” back seat for you. There are plenty of handy storage compartments, door pockets and cup holders for all your stuff. The dark cloth is great for covering up spills and other accidents – though it does get warm in the summer months.
  3. Price: In this day and age how can you scoff at a car that bases less than $15,000? And when you deduct for Suzuki’s over the top rebates you just can’t go wrong. Don’t forget about the money you’ll be saving due to the awesome gas mileage.

So if you like a car with flowing design elements, good gas mileage, a great starting price plus awesome rebates… then you should definitely check out the Suzuki SX4 before you make your final buying decision.
